Camp Create
Camp Create was my senior BFA show that I created in my Graphic Design 6 & 7 classes. In creating my BFA show, I strived to curate a brand that would convey emotions about childhood, coming of age, and finding a purpose that is unique for each person. The Camp Create brand is intended to be universally relatable and inclusive to everyone. Here, art and design can provide a person with autonomy over their own ideas, and the ability to express themselves in new and thought-provoking ways. By branding a summer camp, I can experiment with the elements of art and design like color and type. I chose three fonts, Bagel Fat One, Burnaby Stencil, and Arial Rounded MT Bold that are playful and reminiscent of a summer camp. I curated an 11-color palette that is vivid, active and spans the entire color wheel. The elements that create a brand, such as color, typography, and imagery, come together in a way that can be conveyed across multiple pieces. These pieces include brochures, advertisements, posters, postcards, t-shirts, and other various physical and digital works. Reflectively, this stems from my own journey through college and the BFA program and finding a purpose through art and design.
